Medical Care for International Patients
International patients who have a Japanese public health insurance card
Please refer to our website for appointment at https://oici.jp/hospital/
Consultations in our Institute are by appointment only and require a referral letter from your local medical institution.
In order to provide smooth, reassuring, and safe medical services, you are required to use the medical interpreter service designated by the hospital when you have difficulty in receiving consultation in Japanese or if we regard it necessary to use medical interpreter services to communicate with our staff in consultation. Also, you are required to submit your medical record either in Japanese or translated into English by a medical translator.
Our Institute has introduced a remote medical interpretation system. Medical interpretation/translation services are also available for a fee through our affiliated international medical coordinating companies. If you wish to use any of these services, please let us know.
International patients who DO NOT have a Japanese public health insurance card
We accept patients of foreign nationalities who do not have a Japanese public health insurance card and wish to receive medical care, etc. in our Institute, through our designated international medical coordinating companies (for a fee).
The international medical coordinating companies not only help international patients with medical travel to Japan, but also provide various services to ensure smooth, reassuring, and safe medical care, including obtaining a medical-stay visa for consultation, applying for acceptance, paying medical fee on your behalf, arranging an interpreter, translating documents, etc.
